New Prints

I've been on an inspiring journey of exploration and creativity following my 2023 exhibitions. Emphasizing the joy of printmaking over sales is a refreshing perspective, allowing for more freedom in my artistic process. The transition to hand-painted screens and paper stencils along with the new professional screen table, seems to have enhanced my workflow significantly and the innovative use of fluorescent acrylic paints as screen printing inks is exciting and adds a unique touch to the latest series of prints

Neon 4 September 2024

Neon 4 came about after a series of experiments with fluorescent acrylics. My mixtures proved to be quite transparent and produced some exciting colour changes when overlapped. The screens were made by creating open spaces by using screen-block. So, the above print was made with two screens - one for the vertical colours and another for the horizontal elements. Once he colors were completed I saw the need for focus points and added those with collaged black paper rectangles.
